OSEM v1.4.8a
OSEM V1.4.8a is a follow up release to the OSEM V1.4.8 release. Included in this release are modifications to support the monitoring of Brocade SAN switches.
OSEM v 1.4.8 includes the following enhanced features:
- HP Insight Management Agents 8.2.2 support
- Support for ProLiant G6 server launch including
- ProLiant DL 160, 180 G6
- ProLiant ML 150 G6
- MPX 200 Router support
- Support for San Virtualization Services Platform
- Modifications for the monitoring of Brocade SAN switches

OSEM Managed System Input Output (OSEM MSIO) |
| The OSEM Managed System Input Output (OSEM MSIO) tool can add multiple managed systems to the OSEM managed systems list and populate their property fields from data stored in a CSV file created in MS Excel. OSEMmsio creates multiple xml files that are used by OSEM to populate the OSEM Managed Systems page. This simplifies entering managed devices into OSEM, especially when dealing with hundreds or thousands of servers.
OSEMmsio can also back up an existing managed systems list and save it as a CSV file.
OSEMmsio only works on Windows systems.
Note: OSEMmsio is for HP internal use. Do not share this application with a customer.
Installation:
The zip file contains the following:
- setup.exe — The executable that installs OSEMmsio
- osem-ms-io-readme.txt — A description of installation, uninstallation, and version history
- OSEMmsio.doc - installation and cofiguration guide
- setup.lst — A list of data used by the setup file during installation
- osem-ms-io.cab — A cabinet archive file used by the setup.exe file during installation
To install OSEMmsio:
- Extract the setup files from the zip file
- Run the setup.exe file.
- On the welcome screen, click OK.
- On the next screen, select the location for the OSEMmsio program files. The default folder is C:\Program Files\OSEMmsio, but you can change the folder by clicking the Change Directory button.
- Click the installation button
- On the next screen, select the program group for the OSEMmsio Start menu shortcut. You can accept the default program group of OSEMmsio, or enter a new group name. Then click the Continue button.
- Click OK on the completion message.
- You can now open the OSEMmsio program by clicking Start → Programs → OSEMmsio → OSEMmsio
