Support and certifications listed for the servers above do not necessarily apply to all model configurations. Please click on the server name in the matrix above to obtain detailed OS requirements.
1 SLES 10 = SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 10
Call for certification and support plans of SLES 10 Xen.
2 OES = Novell Open Enterprise Server (includes all versions, for example OES 2). OES is not a Novell operating system. OES is the bundle/packaging for the latest versions of Novell's two server operating systems: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (32-bit and 64-bit versions) and NetWare (32-bit only).
3 SLES 9 = SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9
For servers with dual core processors, SP1 (2.6.5-7.139 kernel) or greater is required.
4 SLES 8 = SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 8
Dual core processors are not supported on SLES 8.
5 SLES 10 XEN = HP supports SLES10 XEN as a technology preview for early adoptors. HP has certified and will support these servers with the following caveats:
  • No SAN support
  • No HP agent support
  • Para-virtualized SLES10 guest OS support only in all three XEN kernels
6 HP certified SLES 10 SP1 XEN using Novell's para-virtualized drivers available in Novell's SUSE Linux Enterprise Virtual Machine Driver Pack. HP strongly recommends using Novell's para-virtualized drivers with XEN. HP has certified and will support these servers with the following caveats:
  • No SAN support
  • No HP agent support
7 HP management Agent support is now available with the SUSE10 XEN Kernel on SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 10 SP2 and the HP Linux ProLiant Support Pack version 8.10.
8 DL320 G3 = This refers to the DL320 G3 SCSI and SATA models. SLES 8 is only supported on the DL320 G3 SCSI model.
9 DL360 G4p = SLES 8 is only supported on the DL360 G4p SCSI model.
10 ML330 G3 = SLES 9 and OES are only supported on the ML330 G3 SCSI model.
11 ML350 G4p = SLES 8 is only supported on the ML350 G4p SCSI model.
